On Tuesday night, The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays, 3-1, in Game 6 of the 2020 World Series. With that win, the Dodgers became the 2020 World Series Champions. After the Dodger have been to three World Series in the past four years, they finally won. On top of that, this is the Dodgers first World Series title since 1988.
When Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Austin Barnes caught the last out of the World Series, Dodger fans around the nation cheered, cried, and partied like it is 1988!
Major League Baseball allowed 11,500 fans to be in attendance, at each one of the World Series games. All Dodgers fans who were in attendance on Tuesday, saw the Dodgers finally win it all. This was the reaction of Dodger fans, who were at Globe Life Field, after the Dodgers won the World Series.
While some fans were in the stands at Globe Life Field, others were at home watching the game on television. Even though these fans were not in the stadium, their reactions to the final out were unbelievable.
Shortly after the game, Dodger fans headed to MLB.com and Fanatics.com to buy their new championship gear. After waiting 32 years for a championship, Dodgers fans were ready to break out their credit cards and spend some money.
While buying their Dodger championship gear, fans even broke a record.
The Los Angeles Dodgers player flew home to Los Angeles on Wednesday night. When they got back, they were greeted by fans waiting outside the stadium cheering, and hoping to get a glimpse of the Commissioners Trophy.
While a statement by the Los Angeles Dodgers stated the team is postponing their victory parade due to the pandemic, fans are still partying like its 1988.
