The Best Rivalry in Sports..... Duke vs. Carolina

Well folks, it's official college basketball will start on November 25th.

I'm happy, Roy Williams is excited, and everything is right in the world!

While I attended the University of North Carolina, I witnessed some amazing college basketball. For instance, I saw buzzer-beaters, overtimes, and a shoe explosion. During my four years in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, I saw eight regular-season Carolina vs. Duke games. Before heading to North Carolina, I did not truly understand the rivalry, but that changed fast. The atmosphere is like no other, and students prepare for this game for weeks. On the day of the game, campus buzzes with excitement, students rock their Michael Jordan jerseys, and count down the hours until game time.

In this rivalry, no matter how good or bad each team is that year, the fans still have hope that their team can prevail. In a Duke vs. Carolina game, anything can happen, and I've seen it. I can't help but agree with Dick Vitale when he says, "There is nothing finer than Duke and Carolina."
